Logo Citybus ExpressNew long distance bus company starting business in May 2015.

CitybusExpress, a Dutch company based in a village close to Arnhem, will start operating a line connecting the Dutch citys Utrecht,  Amsterdam, Amersfoort, Apeldoorn and Enschede with the German citys Hanover and Berlin. We had the opportunity to address a couple questions to Job van den Broek, the General Manager of CitybusExpress

Why should customers choose your service instead of the ones other companies provide?

CityBusExpress offers a new travel experience. We are not just another bus company traveling from A to B. We want our customers to feel great when they enter the bus and when they leave the bus. CityBusExpress gives them an experience like flying on a plane yet paying a very competitive price, actually the lowest price when booked in advance.

Our busses have only 52 seats which gives extra leg room, it is like flying economy plus or even business class. Most busses use 65 seats or even 70. You are welcomed by a stewardess and as you wait for departure you enjoy our lounge music and a free drink. During your journey you have access to WiFi and a selection of international magazines and newspapers.

Last but not least, we travel faster between Amsterdam and Berlin than any other bus company giving you more time to enjoy your final travel destination.

Do you have any tips on how to get a good deal on your trips?

When booked in advance you get the lowest fares in the industry while still having the flexibility to cancel or reschedule without extra costs. Are the low fares not low enough? Please contact us at [email protected] and ask for a price offer for group travel of 5 or more people. We will offer you a price below any competitive offer you already have.

Will there be more lines in the future?

Yes, CityBusExpress will expand rapidly but first on the route between Amsterdam and Berlin. We will add more services including overnight schedules as requested by our customers.

In the long term CityBusExpress aspires to become the largest pan European intercity bus company.

For you, what is the most exciting part of starting this new line towards Germany?

We can not make this business a succes by doing it alone. We need our customers and our business partners. What I enjoy the most is working together with all our stake holders to make this business a success and delivering an unmatchable quality service to our customers.

Thanks for the Interview and great success with your line!
